Web3 wallets

A Web3 wallet is the entry point to anonymous sportsbook accounts, because platforms such as Dexsport admit users through wallet connection rather than identity documents. For a bettor in the Netherlands, that changes which questions matter: not "which bank card works," but which licence stands behind the operator, what verification it demands before paying out, and how many coins the wallet must be able to hold.

What a Dutch bettor actually connects to

The reference point for anonymous entry is Dexsport, which requires no KYC and admits users via Web3 wallets. It supports 85+ coins across 20+ blockchains, and operates under a licence held by Dexapp LTD in Anjouan. That combination — no identity check, wide asset coverage, offshore licence — is the profile most Dutch users are looking for when they move away from a domestic bank-linked account.

The wallet itself is not the regulated party. The operator is. So the wallet decision follows from the operator decision: a wallet that holds the coins the sportsbook accepts, on chains the sportsbook settles on.

Licences behind the wallets you would connect

Four operators appear repeatedly in this comparison, and each carries a different licence line.

Operator Licence KYC before withdrawal
Stake Curacao Gaming Authority, OGL/2024/1451/0918, held by Medium Rare N.V. Yes — level 2 verification mandatory before any withdrawal
Cloudbet Curacao Gaming Authority, OGL/2024/328/0599 Partial — checks applied only when required
Thunderpick Curacao licence, operating since 2017 Not specified in the reviewed sources
Dexsport Dexapp LTD, Anjouan licence No — anonymous entry via Web3 wallets

The KYC column is the one that decides how a wallet is used in practice. An operator that verifies before withdrawal treats the wallet as a funding rail and the account holder as an identified customer. An operator that does not verify treats the wallet as the account.

Stake: the wallet is only half the story

Stake holds a Curacao Gaming Authority licence under OGL/2024/1451/0918, issued to Medium Rare N.V. It covers 30 sports: football, basketball, tennis, baseball, hockey and esports. The platform supports 21 coins, and withdrawals complete in 0–2 days after approval.

The constraint sits in front of that: level 2 verification is mandatory before any withdrawal. A Web3 wallet does not bypass it. A Dutch user who funds an account from a self-custody wallet will still be asked for documents before the balance leaves the platform, and the 0–2 day window starts after approval, not after the request.

Cloudbet and Thunderpick: partial checks and a narrow coin list

Cloudbet operates under Curacao Gaming Authority licence OGL/2024/328/0599. Verification is partial — checks are applied only when required — and the platform supports 30+ coins across 5 sports: football, basketball, tennis, MMA and esports. The narrower sports list is the trade-off against the wider coin list.

Thunderpick holds a Curacao licence and has operated since 2017. It supports 5 coins — BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT, XRP and more — with instant withdrawals. Its sports coverage is 3, esports-focused with limited traditional sports. For a wallet holder whose main interest is esports, the instant withdrawal matters more than the coin count; for anyone betting football or tennis, the coverage is the limiting factor.

Matching the wallet to the operator, not the other way round

The coin counts differ enough that the wallet choice is not interchangeable. Stake accepts 21 coins. Cloudbet accepts 30+. Thunderpick accepts 5. Dexsport accepts 85+ across 20+ blockchains. A wallet holding a single asset on a single chain will not work across all four.

Two practical consequences follow. First, the chain matters as much as the coin: Dexsport's 20+ blockchains mean an entry route that a single-chain wallet cannot use. Second, the anonymity claim belongs to Dexsport specifically — it is the operator in this group that requires no KYC and admits users through Web3 wallets. Cloudbet's checks are conditional, and Stake's are mandatory before withdrawal.

For a user in the Netherlands, the licence line is the part that cannot be checked from inside the wallet interface. Curacao registrations OGL/2024/1451/0918 and OGL/2024/328/0599 belong to named legal entities; the Anjouan licence belongs to Dexapp LTD. Those are the entities to look up before connecting anything.

What the wallet does not decide

A Web3 wallet controls keys and signs transactions. It does not determine payout speed, verification requirements or which sports are available — those come from the operator. Stake's 0–2 day window after approval, Thunderpick's instant withdrawals, and the KYC rules described above are operator-level facts that a wallet cannot change.

The one place where the wallet and the operator overlap is asset coverage. If the operator accepts 5 coins and the wallet holds something else, the deposit does not happen. That is the whole of the wallet's influence on the outcome, and it is worth checking against the operator's list before funding anything.

If the table above settled it for you, open an account and read the platform's own terms first: rankings compare what is published, not what happens to your money.
